Kansas Territorial Settlers of 1860 Who Were Born in Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina & South Carolina, Together With Maps of Kansas, and Eastern Colorado. By Clara Hamlett Robertson. Genealogical Publishing Co., 1976. Hardcover. Excellent to new condition. 187 pages, maps, survey snippets, alphabetical listing of settlers.
This work is a special undertaking by the author of the 1860 territorial census(and other resources) to identify those who came to Kansas from the states of Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The work is a detailed study with maps and other visual aids to help the researcher more easily visualize the area as it was in 1860, while still a territory(Kansas became a state on 29 January 1861, just after the territorial census of 1860).
This is a "must have" for anyone working with Kansas families.
